Hasbro

Hasbro is an American toy and game manufacturer founded in 1923 in Providence, Rhode Island. The name “Hasbro” is a contraction of Hassenfeld Brothers.

Henry, Hilal and Herman Hassenfeld, who emigrated from Poland to the United States in 1903, started out trading textile remnants collected from local mills. In the mid-1920s they turned them into hat linings and pencil box coverings. The success of these boxes led them to manufacture the boxes themselves, with eight employees, all family members.

Hassenfeld Brothers then diversified into stationery and school supplies. Despite the Great Depression, the company had 200 employees in 1930 and annual revenue of $500,000. In the late 1930s it made its first toys: doctor and nurse kits, and modelling clay.

From 1940, the business focused on toys. In 1952, “Mr. Potato Head” became the first toy advertised on television and an enduring classic of the brand. Hasbro, Inc. is today the world’s second-largest toy manufacturer, behind Mattel, Inc., and a reference in popular culture.

Furby Boom with Caroline Costa

Influencer marketing video shot at the KidExpo show. Caroline Costa, Hasbro ambassador, presents Furby Boom, an interactive plush toy that combines physical and digital play through a dedicated tablet or smartphone app.

Nerf Zombie Strike with Cyprien and Squeezie

Design and filming of an influencer marketing video at the KidExpo show. YouTubers Cyprien and Squeezie demonstrate Nerf’s Zombie Strike blaster, a weapon whose universe now lives on in the game Fortnite.

This format draws on the influencers’ reach as they appear on camera with the product. Their real-life demonstration supports Hasbro’s brand image and shows the reliability of the featured products.

Hasbro stand at KidExpo

Video coverage of the Hasbro stand at the KidExpo toy show, attended by prospects, customers and partners. Shots of the stand, the games on display and children interacting with them: the film showcases the presence of Hasbro and its teams at the show.

Doh-Vinci launch

For the launch of the Doh-Vinci range, we produced three in-store mini-films built around an artistic performance filmed at the point of sale.

Doh-Vinci is a creative game from the Play-Doh brand, produced by Hasbro, for children aged 6 and over. An applicator gun dispenses a special compound that hardens in the air within a few hours and can be used to decorate all kinds of surfaces.

The aim of the campaign: to show the product’s features in real conditions of use and to enrich the in-store customer journey by combining its artistic and playful dimensions.

Each mini-film features the artist Melchior Abeille, who demonstrates the simplicity and creative potential of Doh-Vinci on different surfaces: freehand patterns, object makeovers.

The filming locations were chosen among those regularly visited by families:

  • Joué Club: toy shop.
  • Toys“R”Us (PicWicToys): toy shop.
  • KidExpo: show dedicated to children’s entertainment.

The demonstration filmed on site reassures customers about the product’s performance and ease of use, and encourages immediate purchase in the aisle.
