Frerejean Frères
Artisan champagne house Frerejean Frères, a family-run, high-end producer based in Avize, at the heart of the Côte des Blancs.
The house was founded in 2005 by Guillaume, Richard and Rodolphe Frerejean Taittinger. Heirs to a Champagne winegrowing family, the three brothers work with cellar master Didier Pierson to craft an artisan champagne that combines tradition with the codes of contemporary luxury.
Frerejean Frères uses only grapes from vineyards classified Premier and Grand Cru, which represent 9% and 1% of the Champagne vineyard respectively. The grapes come from the Côte des Blancs: Avize, Chouilly, Grauves and Le Mesnil-sur-Oger.
Production is deliberately kept small. The cuvées age for at least six years in the cellar, compared with two to three years at most houses, and some for up to thirteen years. This long ageing produces mature, elegant and precise champagnes.
Official champagne of the Michelin Guide
Since 2019, Frerejean Frères has been the official supplier of the Michelin Guide. The partnership anchors the brand in the world of fine dining and strengthens its reputation internationally.
Corporate photo shoot in Avize
In May 2016, Frerejean Frères acquired a house in Avize, one of the 17 villages classified Grand Cru in the Côte des Blancs, together with the adjoining cellars. After extensive restructuring work, the property now welcomes clients, journalists and sommeliers for cellar tours and overnight stays in one of its rooms. It has been open to the public for visits and tastings since 2019.
We produced the corporate photo shoot of the house and vineyards of Champagnes Frerejean Frères in Avize: buildings, cellars and vines.
