SNCF

SNCF (Société nationale des chemins de fer français) was founded on 1 January 1938 under the agreement of 31 August 1937. A mixed-economy public limited company in which the state holds 51% of the capital, it operates the network under a 45-year concession, while the infrastructure remains state property.

French railways were already a century old by then. The first line, opened in 1827 between Saint-Étienne and Andrézieux, carried coal in horse-drawn wagons. On 24 August 1837, the Paris – Le Pecq steam line opened up access to Saint-Germain-en-Laye and made rail travel popular with passengers.

Severely affected by the destruction of the Second World War, SNCF reached a turning point on 22 September 1981 with the launch of the Paris – Lyon TGV, which revived its passenger business. On 13 June 2005, the network was opened to competition and the first private freight train, operated by Connex, entered service.

New Year greetings

Creation of an animation sent by e-mail to invite all employees to the end-of-year greetings ceremony, following the brief provided and the SNCF brand guidelines.

In keeping with the guidelines, we also adapted the greetings into a web banner.

The PowerPoint presentation shown during the ceremony, designed to the same guidelines, reviews the key milestones of the year.
